Vintage Style Me believes in slow fashion. Fashion that is thoughtfully made and thoughtfully worn. An ethical label with everything being handmade in house.
Vintage Style Me's journey was started in 2011 by Rhiannon Alexander (pictured) in her early 20s. The store began its journey selling carefully curated vintage clothing, which will always be Rhiannon's first love. From these early beginnings VSM listened to the customer and evolved into what we are today; our in house designed, cut & sewing fashion label.
The demand for pretty tea dresses in unique prints where high. Rhiannon decided to start designing her own patterns using vintage fabric. From here we tailored out design process and made our iconic smock dress, which is still our best seller and the shape that features in every collection. We believe clothing should be an extension of your personality, not restrictive and to allow you to be free and stylish, and able to get life done!
All of our designs are made in our studio in the heart of the cotswolds, in Chetlenham.
We do not design for mass production, slow fashion which is sweat shop free is at the heart of our brand. We handmake each garment to order which means its fully customisable. A little longer, shorter, or wider is no problem. No two bodies are alike, so why would clothing be?
Each piece is unique and special, with up to 4 hours of love going into each piece made. We get to know familiar names, the people who support and inspire us, and to be able to work with you to create your dream dress. Our process is personal and unique, and most importantly fully customisable, just pop any instructions on the notes section of your order form.
Being a small business, often being ran by only one or two people the design process can take a little while. Our current lead time is up to three weeks, (this can be longer during busier periods) and emails can sometimes not be replied to until the next day. Please bear with us, a lot of time and care goes into our manufacturing process, and often only one person doing the cutting, sewing, packing and admin.
We're growing every day, and excited where VSM is heading. We promise that our items will never be mass produced in factories, always being made in house so our supply chain is clear from start to finish. We pay all our staff a living wage, use only natural fibres, and always looking how we can make our packaging better for the environment.
Thankyou for your continues support in our ever growing journey in the world of sustainable fashion.
